Willem Hattink is the Managing Partner at Meadow Creek Wealth Advisors. Prior to this role he was the Chief Executive Officer of GenSpring Family Offices Services, SunTrust’s Private Wealth multi-family office affiliate. A 34- year SunTrust veteran, Willem began his career in the commercial banking training program and subsequently held increasingly responsible roles in International Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, Commercial Real Estate and Private Wealth Management.

Willem was born and raised in The Netherlands and moved to the United States in 1981 to earn an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, DC. He has held significant public and private board positions including Board Member of The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, Atlanta Fernbank Museum of Natural History, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Willem also served on the Fundraising Campaign for the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years and chaired the United Way Campaign for SunTrust in Greater Atlanta. Willem is an active member of Rotary Club of Atlanta, Northside United Methodist Church, Piedmont Driving Club, and Lonesome Valley in Sapphire, NC.

Willem is married to Merrel Hattink and they have three children, Dr. Cantey Hattink, an OB/GYN resident at Emory University; Willem Hattink, married to Melanie Hattink, and works as a controller for a real estate company living in Thomasville, GA; and Frances Hattink, who works in partnership with Merrel as Residential Real Estate Professionals in Atlanta.

In his free time, Willem enjoys playing golf, bridge, hiking, learning to fly fish, and traveling with family and friends.
