Willem-Jan O. Hattink

Willem Hattink is the Managing Partner at Meadow Creek. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Executive Officer of GenSpring Family Office Services, SunTrust Bank’s Private Wealth multi-family office affiliate. Over Willem’s 34-year career at SunTrust, he held roles of increasing responsibility in International Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Private Wealth Management.

He was born and raised in The Netherlands, and moved to the United States in 1981 to earn an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Willem has held significant public and private board positions including The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, Atlanta Fernbank Museum of Natural History, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. He also served on the Fundraising Campaign for the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years and chaired the United Way Campaign for SunTrust in Greater Atlanta.

Willem is an active member of Northside United Methodist Church, Piedmont Driving Club, and Lonesome Valley in Sapphire, NC. He and his wife, Merrel, have three children. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, bridge, hiking, learning to fly fish, and traveling with family and friends.
